They are produced with an added heat shield capable of withstanding temperatures of 800 degrees directly and 1200 degrees indirectly
This was created as a replacement part requiring no modifications
Note: Our carbon tips follow the OEM metal finisher design. There is a portion of the finisher that rolls directly into the exhaust stream where the carbon is directly exposed. It is possible to experience some discoloring/blistering in the area of the inner edges, moreover from excess or extended constant engine rev's at idle causing excess heat to build
