The Exhaust Headers are a huge improvement over the stock headers, 42mm primary piping that joins into a racing merger collector and exits via a 53mm exit pipe. Our merge collector is welded to the exit pipe and not overlapped on the exit pipe like most other headers out there. Not recommended for Tiptronic Boxster all years due to coolant line, our exhaust headers interfere with the coolant line.For the 97-99 2.5L Boxster only , these headers will not fit with the factory mid-pipes, in order to install these headers you must purchase the our 986 Mid Pipes. For the 00-04 2.7L/3.2L Boxster , by installing these catless headers the ECU will trigger the Check Engine Light since that the catalytic converters are deleted with these headers and are for RACE use only.. The Boxster makes its highest power between 5000 and 6000 RPM the larger piping will benefit and give you some good performance gains, the factory 34.5mm piping hurts performance at higher RPM's.
