Porsche 996 Carrera SpeedTech (Sport / Sound Valve) Exhaust Systems

SpeedTech offers two muffler styles for the 996 Carrera. A "sport" exhaust and a "Sound Valve" exhaust. Both provide a more aggressive, sport sound when compared to the stock exhaust. The "Sport" version provides a very tasteful, exotic car type sound, developed for the enthusiast, so that you can really enjoy the sporty sound your 996 Carrera is capable of... The "Sound Valve" muffler is designed to offer the best of both worlds, i.e. - stock-like sound (just a bit louder than OEM) when the valves are closed and a very aggressive, exotic race like sound when open... like we say, it's the "The Best of Both Worlds"! This version includes a key fob wireless remote and all vacuum lines, instuctions, etc. for a complete installation. The enhanced exhaust note of both these systems are very tasteful with an exotic car type sound. We developed these systems with the enthusiast in mind, so either system will allow you to truly enjoy the sound of your Porsche 996! In order to maximize performance and improve throttle response, both of these muffler systems are manufactured with a free-flow design and we offer high flow catalytic converter mid-pipes or "catless" RACE mid-pipes, as well as performance headers in order to achieve improved performance. The SpeedTech 996 Exhausts fit all 1999-'05 996 Carreras (3.4 & 3.6L). Note: For the 996 GT3 we have a complete GT3 exhaust system with catalytic converters available, however, the standard 996 mufflers shown here can be used on the 996 GT3. Mufflers only for GT3 (no 996 mid pipes or headers). For maximum performance gain, we recommend installing our headers and mid-pipes with our muffler. For a more traditional sound, use the OEM style individual Mid-Pipes. For a higher pitched, more exotic GT3-like sound, select from the X-Pipe options.
