Our 997.1 X-Pipe creates a fantastic GT3 type sound for your 996 and improves power, as well as, the throttle response. They can be ordered with 200 cell catalytic converters or as cat bypass "RACE" pipes (no cats). Race versions are for off road/track use only. By combining the exhaust pulses from both sides of the Porsche boxer motor with an "X" at the center of the muffler, we have created a scavenge effect to help speed the flow of gases, as well as, developed a unique, exotic sound that has to be heard to be appreciated. Our trademark sound is well known and highly respected throughout the industry. Approx. 6 lbs. weight savings and 10HP improvement over OEM. Our choice and highly recommended for the 997.
