Porsche 997.1 X51 Intake Plenum Conversion Kit for Carbon Fiber Air Box

The X51 Intake Plenum has been developed by Maxspeed-Motorsports, if you want plug n play and the best there is for your 997 look no further. The X51 Intake Plenum has been developed by Maxspeed-Motorsports. By installing the Maxspeed-Motorsports X51 Plenum you will be able to install the Factory X51 Throttle body to the 997.1 engine without having to use the factory Porsche X51 plenum the engine intakes and a bunch of other parts that would require extensive modifications not the mention thousands of dollars it would cost you to perform such modifications. If you have installed the X51 Carbon Fiber Dual Intake Air box the Maxspeed-Motorsports X51 plenum is the answer, you will be able to properly match your Air Box to the correct 84mm X51 Throttle body without any modifications. This part is made entirely of Aluminum and is designed to fit perfectly without the need of any modifications, it’s a “Plug N Play” part, it’s CNC machined and made of 3 different parts welded together, the main tube that runs from left to right, the throttle body surface and finally the internal “V” shaped section mounted on the cylinder wall. The Maxspeed-Motorsports X51 plenum is 100% manufactured in Canada. Maxspeed-Motorsports X51 plenum will enable you to install the X51 Throttle body and be the solution to the X51 CF Air Box but the plenum will enable you to take advantage of the larger size throttle body by delivering more air to the engine intakes and it will deliver it more rapidly and more efficiently thanks to its internal “V” shape section , the installation of this plenum should also add a few HP's, we haven't dynoed the plenum since that the main idea behind this plenum is to enable the installation of the X51 Throttle body as a Plug N Play solution, but with the V shape internals we don't see how installation of the Maxspeed-Motorsports plenum will hurt performance. This part is offered as a “stand alone” part you will receive the plenum only and you will need to purchase the Throttle Body/Gasket/Hardware from your preferred Porsche Dealer. OR, you may purchase the complete kit that we also offer. This piece is recommended to be used with BMC air filters for maximum flow. ABOUT INSTALLATIONAs mentionned above this product is Plug N Play no modifications, installation is normally completed in approx 2 hours by a qualified technicien or approx 3 gours for a DIY weekend mechanic. The installation of the plenum requires remove of Air Box, Throttle body and plenum, there's enough room to remove the factory plenum without having to lower the engine, once again plug n play.
